We've seen a great deal of growth this year and a lot of support from people like you that visit our website to check out our work as well attend our screening events. We've also had a great response to all the screeings we've done for our latest documentary, Cry of the City Part 1: The Legend of Cornbread; there are more in the works for next year already! We here at CA just want to say thank you for your support!!!

 

We're going on holiday break from now until January 2nd. Once we get back, look for our new website and information about upcoming projects. We already have several projects lined up for the new year including 2 new documentaries, several shorts and more! Keep visiting for details! *NEW DATE! Cornbread will be appearing on the WPVI Channel 6 show Visions on Saturday, December 8th. The show airs at 7:30pm. Cornbread will discuss the making of the documentary Cry of the City Part 1: The Legend of Cornbread as well as other aspects of his life including his social work.

 

Spoon Test Factory, Another Love Story and The Longest Ride will all be screened on Friday, November 2nd at The Rotunda as part of Freshout Media's First Friday Film Fix.

Our newest short "Fools Rush In" will be posted here shortly! The Film is the Cinema Alliance entry in The National Film Challenge and will be premiered at the Fortress of the Arts Festival of Shorts. "Fools Rush In" will be posted online after it's premiere on November 3rd.

 

Cry of the City Part 1: The Legend of Cornbread has been accepted as part of Tapestry Entertainment's Family Film Festival on Saturday, November 24th. More details coming shortly.

Cornbread will be appearing in the Cinema Alliance tent to sign autographs / blackbooks at the Canvas Clash on Saturday, July 7th. The event takes place on the Whole Foods rootop (929 South St., Philadelphia) from 3-7pm and includes dancing, music, art vendors and performance art.

This is a seasonal event that will help to expose filmmakers and introduce the public to some of the talent invovled in the independent film scene in Philadelphia.

Cinema Alliance has formed a team to participate in the upcoming Philadelphia 48 Hour Film Project competition. The compeition takes place March 23 - 25 with all the entries being screened Sunday April 1st at The International House in Philadelphia. The Cinema Alliance team entry will be screened at 12 Noon, so get there early!

 

Cry of the City Part 1: The Legend of Cornbread is finished and is premiering in Philadelphia in April! There are 2 screening dates set up - April 25th and 26th.

 

Disturbing Images - The Story of Helmut K. is being screened In April in St. Louis, MO as part of The Big Damn Film Festival. The screening schedule will be posted around the beginning of April.

 

Cinema Alliance is starting to distribute and produce shorts. Our first short, Spoon Test Factory will be released later this month...Keep an eye out here on the CA Website for the release date. We've got a new "shorts" section coming to the Website that will showcase the different shorts we're distributing.

A new division of Cinema Alliance is being formed called Digital Alliance. This new division will be a production branch that focuses on television show production, commercials, public service announcements, music videos, corporate videos and more. Look for a Website launch announcement in the weeks to come!
